Pioneer Center for Humanities (PCFH) held a Grand Opening last Friday for McHenry County Pads Homeless Shelter. Structures Construction (StruxC) buildout separate men’s and women sleeping quarters, a security room overlooking both sleeping areas, showers, bathrooms, a dining room, and offices. The new facility help expand their homeless services from a 34-bed shelter to a 70- bed shelter.

We recently completed phase 2 of this project which includes a new commercial kitchen and exterior improvements. We were happy to finish in time to feed those in need before the Holidays!

StruxC is honored to be involved with such an important project and helping PCFH meet the needs of the community.

If you’re interested in becoming a donor please see link to their Go Fund Me page with a video about the organization and all that they do for the community.

“The vision and concept for this project started almost 2 years ago and we needed to build a great team that can support our initiatives from the very inception of planning, design, funding, construction to completion. Structures Construction was the obvious choice for us based on their extensive expertise in construction and management for non-profits including Churches, Schools and Shelters. “
